Our Story

How one patient's experience became an action platform for all colorectal cancer patients

Every year, over 40,000 people are diagnosed with colorectal cancer in Spain alone. It's the most common tumor when combining men and women. And yet, when a patient receives the diagnosis and needs to know what options they have, they face an enormous void.

Association websites talk about prevention, emotional support, helplines. All of that is fine, but none of them tell you what to do when your oncologist says there are no standard treatment lines left. None of them help you find a clinical trial for your specific mutation. None of them explain how to access treatment in another country if it's your only option. None of them help you fund it.

CRC Warriors was born to fill that void. Not with words of support, but with real tools.

The origin. In 2022, our founder David was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. Surgery, ileostomy, chemotherapy his body couldn't tolerate. Then came lung metastases. And with each relapse, the same experience: finding clear information was a maze, finding clinical trials matching his molecular profile was nearly impossible, and nobody told him what his real options were.

He spent hundreds of hours researching on his own. Scientific papers, clinical trial databases, reaching out to hospitals in Spain, the United States, France, South Korea. He wrote dozens of emails to research centers. Many never replied. Some said no. But the ones that said yes opened doors his local hospital didn't know existed.

He managed to access a clinical trial with an experimental drug that gave him six months of stability. It wasn't a miracle, but it was proof that searching, insisting, and not settling for "there are no more options" can change the course of the disease.

The question that changed everything.

If it was this hard for me to find options as a software developer with the technical skills to research, what happens to patients who don't have those tools? How many people are running out of options simply because they don't know where to look?

From that question, CRC Warriors was born. Not as another informational website, but as an action platform.

What CRC Warriors does differently:

AI-powered clinical trial search — Enter your molecular profile (mutations, biomarkers, previous treatment lines) and the platform shows you the clinical trials that match your case. Not generic ones: the specific ones for you.

Help fund treatments — Through solidarity campaigns, we help patients who need access to treatments at national and international centers. Every campaign is public, transparent, and every euro goes directly to the patient.

Help fund research — When a lab has a promising project against colorectal cancer, we create specific campaigns to help fund it. The research that will save lives tomorrow needs support today.

Information that leads to action — We don't tell you "we're with you." We tell you which trials exist for your mutation, which hospitals have them open, how to contact them, and what documentation you need. Information for making decisions, not for feeling accompanied while you run out of options.

Our mission

That no colorectal cancer patient is left without options due to lack of information, access, or financial resources.

We don't tell you we support you. We tell you what to do.

If you're reading this and you've just received a diagnosis, or you've been fighting for months and feel like there are no more paths, we want you to know something:

As long as there are options, there is hope. And there are more options than you've been told.

Welcome to CRC Warriors.
